While searching for information about space I learned the story of the first animal to go into space, the Laika dog, who dedicated his life to space exploration. This story reminded me of a podcast that talked about whether it is justice to force others to be heroes?

In my further research, I drew on a number of commentaries and articles about the Laika incident, and I conceived and reconstructed Laika's trip to space and adapted the historical record to express my reflections on the act of forcing others to become heroes.

At the end of my story Laika meets the Tesla heading into space, he barks at the humans on the Tesla, no one tells him that no sound can travel in space, so the Tesla does not stop for him, the false humans never really hear his heart. Moreover the loneliness facing unknown is a secondary theme that this work is trying to express.
